About the Role:
North Point Senior Homecare is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team on a PRN basis in Virginia Beach, VA. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors by delivering high-quality, personalized care right in the comfort of their homes. Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to senior clients in a home care setting under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician
- Administer medications, wound care, and treatments as directed by the care plan
- Monitor and document patient health status, vital signs, and changes in condition
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding care updates
- Assist with ADLs (activities of daily living) and support patient independence and dignity
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with state and agency standards
- Follow all HIPAA, infection control, and homecare safety protocols
Requirements:
- Active and unrestricted LPN license in the state of Virginia
- Previous experience in home care, geriatrics, or a related healthcare setting preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to patient homes in the Virginia Beach area
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a home environment
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
